Description
Changing the colour of your clothes and household fabrics has never been so easy. Dylon Wash & Dye’s unique all-in-one formula dyes fabrics as it washes them, so you can achieve a colourful new look or refresh existing colours with minimum effort.
Instructions:
- Wearing rubber gloves, empty Wash and Dye powder into washing machine drum and add dry fabric.
- Immediately run a 40ºC cotton cycle without pre-wash or economy setting.
- Add normal washing detergent and run 40ºC cotton cycle to remove excess dye from fabric and to clean the machine.
- Dry fabric as normal, away from sunlight and heat.
Colour Shade:
The shade of fabric you achieve will depend on three things:
- Fabric type – Cotton, linen and viscose will dye to full shade. Polyester mixes will dye to lighter shades. Wool, silk, polyester, acrylic, nylon and fabric with special finishes, such as dry clean only or waterproofing, cannot be dyed.
- Fabric amount – Up to 500g (eg. 1 pair of jeans) will dye to full shade. A maximum of 1kg can be dyed to lighter shades.
- Fabric colour – Colour mixing rules apply, eg. blue dye on red fabric gives a purple shade. Patterned fabric will often still show through.
Only dye up to 1kg of fabric and always use the whole pack.
Dyeing may not cover stains, faded areas or bleach marks.
Use in front loading automatic washing machines only.
After dyeing, was item separately for the first few washes to remove any excess dye.
Should any dye be left in the machine, add a cup of household bleach to the drum, add usual detergent and run machine empty on 40ºC cycle.
Remember polyester stitching will not dye.
